Business continuity through the Coronavirus

Business continuity through the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

As you are no doubt aware, all Australians are currently facing the recent challenge presented by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We wish to update you on our business continuity plan should the Health Authority direct us to take measures to self-isolate, or we are required to work from home due to the spread of COVID-19

Here at Century 21 we have already begun implementing cautionary procedures that ensure the safety of not only our staff, but that of our valued tenants and client community. We are already utilising technology that enables our staff to continue to receive calls during business hours and access our data and information systems from remote locations.

Our intention is to ensure our business processes continue running with as little interruption as possible. Should anything change, we will notify you immediately.

Please see below a brief outline of our services and the changes that we have made, or may be required to make if an isolation period is imposed:

Rent payments
Our expectation is that rent will continue to be paid as usual. If you anticipate any disruption to your regular rent payment, you must contact your property manager immediately.

Maintenance
If the Department of Health limits public contact, this will impact our response to non-urgent maintenance. The only maintenance that will be actioned during an isolation period will be emergency repairs that relate to health and safety or essential services. Please be aware our response times will be limited by which tradespeople are prepared to attend to maintenance call outs during this period. Any general non urgent maintenance will be actioned following the completion of any isolation period.

If you have any maintenance items that require attention, we encourage you to bring these to the attention of your property manager so they may be addressed in an appropriate manner.

Routine Inspections
Routine inspections may be deferred. Alternatively, we may ask you to video call with our property managers to address any issues and agree as to the current condition of the property. If you or any members of your household are unwell or in self-isolation, please contact your property manager immediately so that the inspection can be re-scheduled.

If you have any questions, please contact your property manager. We will update you if there are any changes to our plan.
