The Amelie charity home is complete and set to go under the hammer with no reserve this November

South Australia's most meaningful charity home, The Amelie, is officially complete and going to auction with no reserve on Friday 21 November 2025, with bidding to commence from 8:30am.

All net proceeds from the sale will support Variety SA, a Children's Charity — helping children who are sick, disadvantaged, or living with disability.

"This charity home represents hope and the power of working together. We're truly humbled by the generosity shown and the difference it will make for South Australian families in need" expresses Mark McGill, CEO of Variety SA.

Conducted on-site in Mount Barker by Century 21 SA, the auction will also be aired live on 5AA, giving listeners across South Australia the chance to hear how the auction plays out.

Built in memory of Amelie Belperio who lost her life at the age of three, The Amelie represents a legacy of love, generosity and hope. More than 30 South Australian businesses and individuals have come together to build this double-storey family home, all in support of Variety SA.

"This moment is the culmination of immense generosity, passion, and community spirit," says Joe Belperio, Owner and Director of Emerald Way Mount Barker and loving father of Amelie. "What began as a tribute to our daughter has grown into something that will help children across South Australia for years to come," Joe continues.

The land, generously donated by Joe Belperio and valued at $470,000, is now home to a stunning double-storey house — the building of which was donated by one of the major contributors to the project, Urban Edge SA.

Urban Edge SA is a local family business who has proudly covered the construction and associated building costs as part of its commitment to giving back to the community. This generous donation, which is valued at $750,000 and includes the building of the entire home, landscaping and a full turn-key package, marks 30 years in business for the company and serves as a heartfelt gesture to celebrate the milestone by supporting children in need.

"We couldn't be prouder to be able to donate this home for the Children in need," says Ameen, Managing Director of Urban Edge SA. "I'm a dad with 3 young kids, this cause is extremely close to my heart and I'm so excited to see what the money raised will do to help the kids and families that need it the most," Ameen continues.

Through this donation, Urban Edge SA aims to make a lasting difference in the lives of many children in South Australians and demonstrate the company's enduring values of care, community, and purpose.

The home features an entertainer's kitchen, open-plan living area, guest bedroom with ensuite, luxurious master suite with walk-in robe and ensuite, and beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces — all crafted with attention to detail and enduring quality.

Blending style, comfort, and functionality, The Amelie home is defined by its light-filled open spaces that connect the stone-benchtopped kitchen and butler's pantry to the seamless living, dining, and alfresco areas. The ground floor includes a private guest suite, while upstairs reveals a serene master retreat, two additional bedrooms, and a cosy living zone. With a tranquil balcony, double garage, and low-maintenance courtyard, this home perfectly balances elegance with everyday ease.

In addition to owning this luxurious home with no reserve, the successful bidder will also receive a suite of bonus inclusions such as purchaser conveyancing services, a children's custom playhouse and lawn care for 12 months including professional-grade fertilisation, insect control, and targeted herbicide applications as needed.

Scheduled for November 21 at 8:30am, celebrity auctioneer Tom Panos of The Block, will lead the auction, bringing energy, reach and impact to this special cause.

This is no regular auction! "The no-reserve model means anyone has the chance to walk away with the keys," says Greg Nybo, Principal at Century 21 Property People and long-time supporter of this project. "It's the ultimate win-win, a dream home for the buyer, and life-changing funds raised for Variety SA."
